The Zambia International Travel Expo opened with a Gala breakfast attended by 360 guests including Minister of Community Development and Social Services (Hon. Michael Kaingu) Deputy Minister of Environment (Hon. Vera Tembo), members of the Diplomatic CO, Dignitaries and Captains of Industries, International Buyers and Exhibitors etc. The auction of the GWM FLORID Car from Southern Cross Motors caused much excitement as Brian from Hammer and Tongues created a real live auction atmosphere.

25th March 2010 – Business to Business day
ACTIVITIES

  1. Opening Breakfast (official opening ceremony) – Hon. Catherine Namugala, Minister of Tourism Environment and Natural Resources
  2. Guests seated – 8:00hrs to start promptly at 8:30hrs  (diplomats, government officials, expatriates, corporate from the Copperbelt and Lusaka and exhibitors) 300 pax
  3. Introduction
  4. Presentation – Derek Solomon – “ Nature’s Orchestra .”
  5. Official opening by the Hon. Minister Catherine Namugala
  6. Tour of the stands by the Hon. Minister and the attendees from the breakfast
  7. Free flow meetings with the buyers, corporate, Travel trade and government
  8. Interviews with Radio Phoenix throughout the day
  9. A hospitality marquee will be adjacent to the expo in the gardens for all day refreshments and will be branded by the partners and sponsors of the expo.
  10. Expo  ends at 18:00hrs
  11. No function in the evening.

26th March 2010 – Business and Public day
